Sustainable Living
Simple, off-grid, community living. Hosted at the Tree of Life, a sustainable centre handbuilt through a grass-roots collective, located on Salmonier Line approximately one hour outside of St. John’s. Experience a communal style of living with quiet surroundings. Enjoy local & foraged produce crafted consciously by chef Stephen Fulford.
Dining Experience
Enjoy hand-crafted meals provided by Johanne Robitaille. Johanne has decades of experience working with fresh, whole foods. She started out creating her own vegan catering service and has more recently been living and cooking at the Tree of Life using their very own home-grown produce. Johanne is also trained in non-violent communication and adds a warm and inviting atmosphere to the experience. Expect to experience the true taste of Newfoundland including wild game and seafood. Most dietary restrictions can be catered to (e.g., vegetarian, vegan, celiac, dairy-free, etc.).
OFF-GRID LIVING
This retreat is hosted at the beautiful Tree of Life, approximately 1 hour outside of St. John’s, NL. This off-grid and sustainable complex was handbuilt through a grass-roots collective. Each building was designed using sacred geometry and constructed with recycled and hand-harvested lumber. All of the electricity is produced on-site through a hydro dam, compost toilets produce fertilizer for local crops, and a local spring supplies fresh drinking water. The secluded premise is located in a dense old-growth forest with private walking trails, a waterfall, and a swimming hole.
